Translation of MAZZEL RADIO STATION #9, May 28, 2023
Since April 2nd this year, MAZZEL has started their own radio show on Tokyo FM, MAZZEL RADIO STATION!
I recently got to their 30th episode, so I thought I'll start sharing their episodes from the very beginning.
Brief Summary
This episode is with Ran, Takuto, and Eiki! They talk about their activities since their major debut with VIVID!
This episode included the following special segments:
- MAZZEL TRACKS: Members take turns to share a song to play on radio and why they shared it.
*RAN shares a song in this corner
- VIVID TALK: Members pull a card out of a box. The cards are all with colours, members are supposed to talk about something depending on the coloured-card they pull out.

⚾: It felt like a long time for me, but it’s longer for 🦅isn’t it?
🦅: Definitely, “waited a long time”

🦦: I’m the same. It’s kind of strange hearing my own voice and seeing our songs on music streaming.
⚾: And we’ve started our own radio show for about two months now right?

🦅: They were good though. I thought they were really good at talking

🦅: People who watched MISSIONx2 will know this was our assignment song. We re-recorded it as MAZZEL for this release. It’s a good song isn’t it?

⚾: This was our first (for the auditionees) assignment song right? So it’s a song we’ve been singing for a while. It’s a song filled with memories. The song really hits when it’s TAKUTO’s part

⚾: Yeah, even the staff-sans are like, “Please” 🙏

A bunch of TV performances
⚾: It was quite busy right? And our first TV appearances

🦦: It was all new experiences
⚾: And we were singing with mics after a long time
🦦: Oh, when we finished our shoot for one of them, ⚾ said “Isn’t it fun singing and dancing?”
🦅: That’s a good story!
⚾: It’s different from recording for MVs, because you’re just dancing; different from recording because you’re just singing. It made me realise that holding a mic, singing and dancing with the members was very happy for me. It made me think, “this is it / happiness”.

Summer Sonic & Fan Meeting
⚾: I think ☕& 🐹 mentioned it two weeks ago, but we’ll perform at Summer Sonic!
⚾: And we’ve prepared a lot for the fan meeting too
🦅: For festivals, we’ll get to hype up the audience.. Have you guys done it before?
🦦: No..
⚾: Probably only 🦅right?
🦅: Mm, BMSG FES but this time fans can chant + cheer

They also pulled “pink” today (last week’s group also got pink)
⚾: Well, Takkun had dry-cured ham recently right?
🦅: 🦦and I went to an all-you-can-eat dry-cured ham place recently!

🦦: It was good!
🦦: On radio I said that I wanted to go to all-you-can-eat buffet for dry-cured ham [it was their first episode!], 🦅invited me and we went… round lunchtime? It was good.

⚾: It looked really good from the photos you took
🦦: There was steak too, but dry-cured ham was what I went for

🦦: It was a lot of salt though, so I took it easy for that night. I like dry-cured ham in salads, but my favorite way of eating it is just the ham on its own. When I’m at home I’ll sprinkle some olive oil to go with it

For the second color, they got Takkun to take something out of the box, Takkun picked “orange"
⚾: I’m really into baths lately, and there are a lot of different bath salts right? The one I happened to use yesterday was tangerine (orange).
🦅: Well, orange reminds me of the shirt I was wearing for the “VIVID” MV! 😊
🦅: I don’t have a lot of orange clothes in my wardrobe, but after “VIVID” I think I’ve taken a liking to it so I want to look for orange clothes in the future
