Translation of MAZZEL RADIO STATION #12, June 18, 2023
Since April 2nd this year, MAZZEL has started their own radio show on Tokyo FM, MAZZEL RADIO STATION!
I recently got to their 30th episode, so I thought I'll start sharing their episodes from the very beginning.
Brief Summary
This episode is with Ryuki and Eiki! They talk about their debut showcase and a heartwarming message from a certain member that MAZZEL all wrote a reply to!
This episode included the following special segments:
- MAZZEL TRACKS: Members take turns to share a song to play on radio and why they shared it.

Intro
Their names are quite similar (both have “Ki” in it) and they made a hand sign between the two of them during MISSIONx2 and got closer because of that.
Showcase
⚾’s happy that they got to do all that they wanted in the Showcase
🦔 was very happy to hear fans’ cheer and respond as they performed

🦔: I watched them growing up, so BTS really ls like my ideal, I want to become an artist like them.
⚾: So we’ve had MAZZEL PATROL, WAY OUT MAZE segments, but 🦔, don’t you think we’re missing another keyword?

Around June, ⚾was very into reading books.
⚾: Before becoming MAZZEL I was never a reader, but as MAZZEL we are in various magazines right. So I will buy them and read them. I got 3-4 and read them.
🦔: You did.
⚾: A day before the Showcase, I finished a book. It was really good, so can I recommend it?
It’s 52 Herutsu no Kujiratachi by Machida Sonoko.
Usually 52 hertz is a sound that’s too high for whales (to make), usually their soundwave is about 50 hertz. So the story is based around how their 52 hertz is not receivable to anyone else. That makes it very sad right. It makes me thankful – I mentioned this during the Showcase too – I’m glad there’s a space / environment where our messages reach others and it’s irreplaceable.
⚾: It’s the first time I cried after reading a book!
🦔: You did?
⚾: I was very moved by the story. I think there’s a movie too.
🦔: Really? I wanna watch

🦔’s zeal recently is saunas
🦔’s always liked hot springs and would check them out often, but only recently found out about saunas. If he knows there’ll be a photoshoot the next day, he’ll go to a sauna to make sure he looks less bloated / swollen
He also says it helps him feel like he’s setting his body back in order so he’s been enjoying it lately. (He proudly says he went into a sauna that was 110 degrees C / 230 degrees F. He went in for 5 minutes and came out really quickly lol)
⚾: I remember you went to a sauna during the auditions right?
⚾: It was 🦔, 🐥 (and ⚾)
⚾: But back then
🦔: Yeah, I didn’t like it
⚾: Yeah, you said it’s too hot so you didn’t want to go
🦔: Yes, but then I remember that I should fix some things, so [he tried again]
110 degrees saunas he can only stay for 5 mins, but he can usually do 10 mins for 80 - 90 degrees C / 176 - 194 degrees F saunas. He usually sticks to that then spends about 10 mins get rid of swollen / bloatedness and does 3 sets of these. It’s a very refreshing feeling when he walks back home. So he highly recommends!
