Aile The Shota – QJWeb Interview (2023.12.11)
QJ Web interviewed Aile The Shota following the release of his latest EP, "Epilogue"
The following is a summary of what they discussed!
Note: It's not a complete transcription as I skipped over some parts of the interview.
Original interview here!
Content Warning: Mentions of death and suicide
- Shota wrote Epilogue due to the number of news he sees of celebrities and people in entertainment choosing to end their life, which made him think of life and death. He wrote the song specifically in second-person point of view; with a "you (anata)" / person in mind and a desire for his message to reach the person who listens ["Anata ni todoiteimasuka?"], to live ["Ikirou"], and cheer them on when they need it.
Other fun information included the making of BMSG EAST's "The Sun in the East":
- Shota says in ShowMinorSavage it's purely the three of them having fun and enjoying music. He has a lot of fun with SOTA and MANATO. He says SOTA and MANATO hasn't really changed from when he knew them in THE FIRST, only that they grew physically in size XD
Hope you found Shota's thoughts on his latest album interesting!

Other fun information included the making of BMSG EAST's "The Sun in the East":
- 🫧 went to boss's house to make the song; decided with boss which member (in EAST) should be in charge of which parts
- took the song back to office for everyone (in EAST) to write lyrics to their part
gave mazz advice because quite a lot of them haven't had lyric writing experience (yet, we'll see when we see song credits for their album) - the process reminded 🫧 a lot of what he experienced in THE FIRST
- 🫧 mostly writes lyrics by himself so he really enjoys writing lyrics with everyone because everyone's like a family to him. He's always very proud of them.
