KANON x TAKUTO interview summary (ar HOMME vol. 2)
Summary of the interview KANON and TAKUTO had in the ar HOMME vol. 2 magazine.
TAKUTO first talked to KANON when they were going home after the audition. “Are you going back this way?” something like that. Takkun was surprised at how low KANON’s voice was once they started chatting, lol. He thought KANON was a calm and mature kid (Non: Eh? Really? Takkun: Your voice was really low, lmao)
KANON doesn’t think Takkun remembers, but he met TAKUTO in the elevator on the way to MISSIONx2 Round 2. Takkun had blond hair and had a really stylish bag he was carrying, so Non was wondering what would a person like Takkun be doing here lol. Non did think Takkun gave the aura of being a good dancer.
Takkun: LMAOOO. Although KANON was 8 years younger, TAKUTO thinks him and KANON broke the ice quicker than the other kids he met in MISSIONx2. Since Takkun was the oldest, a lot of the boys hesitated in talking to him, but when Takkun told him, “You don’t have to use keigo with me” Non just went, “Ah! OK!” lol. In a good way, Takkun didn’t feel like there was a big age gap between them and it felt like he was talking to a friend.
Non also didn’t feel like there was a huge difference in age between them. He thought Takkun was like a dance teacher in MISSIONx2 because he would give detailed advice. Whether it’s performance or they’re just hanging out he’d give advice too, but overall Non found Takkun was always very kind. He thought Takkun was this fashionable aniki at first but his impression had a complete 180, lol
Takkun and Non would go out for meals often during MISSIONx2. Their first meal together was yakiniku (there were also 2 others that would often go with them but Takkun didn’t drop any names on who those 2 were) and then all 4 of them would head home together. He watched THE FIRST and since becoming a part of BMSG and interacting with him as an artist and producer and seeing SKY-HI as a boss, he thinks boss really hasn’t changed at all. He respects SKY-HI as a person and thinks he’s a great guy.
Something SKY-HI has said that left an impression on Non was, “Artists have a job that can affect the lives of people watching them, so they should hold on to that responsibility.” Although Non wanted to become an artist because he wants to sing songs he likes and do what he loves, it made him think, “Oh hey, I wanted to pursue this because I looked up to artists” and “There might be people who want to become artists because of me”. So it’s a quote that made Non aware that as he becomes active as an artist, it also comes with a sense of responsibility.
Non was dropped in the final screening of MISSIONx2 and he feels that is what should happen but he wasn’t frustrated about the results. He thought MAZZEL should be made of these 8 people and with Takkun a part of it, he accepted it and it was also the moment he became a fan of MAZZEL. He already knew Takkun was great at dance, but to see him all powered up in singing from zero experience made him -on the one hand- feel no one can compete with Takkun, but on the other that he has to work harder.
Takkun was genuinely happy to hear that KANON had joined BMSG as a Trainee because they often talked and hung out during MISSIONx2. He was a little worried in the beginning whether Non will get along with RUI and TAIKI but seeing how they got along just fine he said maybe he got worried for nothing, lol. He’s really happy seeing Non working hard and he wants to do something together with Non some day.
KANON wants to do something together with Takkun / MAZZEL too. The venues he aims for as an artist are venues MAZZEL has stood on. As he was thinking of how he (and RuiTai) will debut as artists, they saw MAZZEL perform at the dome. Non feels like he is always watching and chasing them as MAZZEL keeps going forward. He really thinks MAZZEL is his model example as artists.

He wants to move his body, if he spends a day at home not moving his body around he feels guilty. He’s also worried that if he doesn’t do this every day, he won’t see muscles and he’ll spend his old age with fat on him. KANON thinks if he gets into the habit of training every day, then he can keep his muscles in good shape. He hasn’t talked about muscle training anywhere, so this might be the first time it’s brought up lmao.

Through theater, he got to experience singing and dancing, and grew to love music. Through music, birthed his dream of wanting to be an artist and so he auditioned for MISSIONx2. He still wants to fulfill his dream of being an artist, but he also hopes he gets to fulfill his childhood dream of being an actor too.
