SKY-HI – Re: Ryoki (Architect live, 2025.04.28)
On April 28, 2025, SKY-HI started a Architect live in response to Bunshun's article on Ryoki.
Note 1: Many thanks and appreciation for
double_ilex for sharing.
Note 2: Parts of the translation was possible with help from ksk, thank you too!
Note 3: A shortened, summarized version of what he said was later shared on Twitter / X as a post on his personal account. [Post here]
Note 4: Boss was emotionally affected by the news still, he looked tired and at many points throughout the live he apologized and / or looked like he was about to cry.
- Arrived in Japan yesterday (4/27 JST)
- This Architect live’s topic: Ryoki
- He wanted to make a comment immediately on Architect, but wanted to talk to the parties affected, confirm facts, talk to the person directly (in this case, Ryoki) – he refers to this as a “hearing”, which took up some time, so he apologises for the delay
- He apologises to everyone for making them feel: anxious, disappointed, angry during this time.
- While they were in America, Flash Up mentioned that there’s an article about Ryoki. So boss met with them immediately after he landed to speak to them directly.
- He apologises as a producer to everyone that trusted BMSG, that put music first and how this may have made them feel like someone poured water on them / broken their trust, he’s really sorry.
- There are contents in the Bunshun article that are not true / did not happen
- There is no marriage fraud
- However, unrelated to the law, he knows he is at fault when looking at it in terms of a relationship between a man and woman.
Boss says for two years, since starting up the company, he has classes on ethics and financial literacy for all his artists. Given what happened, he acknowledges that he may have not educated Ryoki enough. He wonders what could’ve happened if he had done more. Ryoki often says there are other things on his schedule and cannot attend. Boss accepts that he did all he can to take responsibility (for his artists) yet something like this still happened. He swears to not have something like this happen again.
In terms of the company’s values, he doesn’t think he can raise his head (from bowing down to them) to the other artists under the company. Novel Core and Shota (both of whom boss refers to as “deeply rooted in the company’s values and essence”) approached boss to ask what happened. Boss spoke to them after speaking to Ryoki after returning to Japan. Boss’s heart feels heavy and he wants to apologise to them too
How much he knows about his artist’s private life
- There are things he knows but also things he doesn’t know
He hopes to prevent / protect his artists from experiencing something like this in the future.
- This doesn’t mean he is going to force them to be saints, stop them from being in relationships or dating. Although artists accumulate a lot of stress due to the nature of this job, he believes it’s also through interacting and experiencing life with others and upholding a certain sense of responsibility when you’re the frontman standing on stage as an artist.
He's also not taking any compensation as an executive member of the company for 2025 to take responsibility for what happened.
He’s sorry if people were expecting him to talk about TYOISM Deluxe version today but had to talk about this instead
- A great song like Candle is released and he really wanted to push the song now that it’s out. (and here he really looked like he was gonna cry)
He wanted to talk about him appearing on Forbes, talk about HANA’s Venue 101 appearance, BE:FIRST’s world tour (they took a lot of footage). – there were many things he wanted to talk about to share positive vibes and good things happening in entertainment
Candle is a really great song – he hopes everyone listens to it lots
Re: Why Back On The Stage is on a POSSE album and the timing
It’s been something they’ve been wanting to release for 2.5 years so look forward to it
(He apologises for switching topics to something lighter and now the atmosphere’s all awkward)
He knows people are unhappy about the statement BMSG released about Ryoki. He’s thinking a lot about what’s best for BMSG and what’s best for Ryoki. “Since I say [BMSG] doesn’t kill talent, I need to think about what’s best for the other artists too.”
Before the ig live closes
He apologises one more time to fans who are: angry, upset, and disappointed
[he’s on set for TLP and has to go]

Quick rundown

Explanation from Ryoki
- There are contents in the Bunshun article that are not true / did not happen
- There is no marriage fraud
- However, unrelated to the law, he knows he is at fault when looking at it in terms of a relationship between a man and woman.
Ethics and financial literacy classes at BMSG, but Ryoki did not attend them
Boss says for two years, since starting up the company, he has classes on ethics and financial literacy for all his artists. Ryoki often says there are other things on his schedule and cannot attend. Boss accepts that he did all he can to take responsibility (for his artists) yet something like this still happened. He swears to not have something like this happen again.
Deeply sorry to artists like Novel Core and Shota
In terms of the company’s values, he doesn’t think he can raise his head (from bowing down to them) to the other artists under the company. Novel Core and Shota (both of whom boss refers to as “deeply rooted in the company’s values and essence”) approached boss to ask what happened.
