🌞: I didn’t want to make things awkward or strange for the others. I can’t act friendly in front of just one auditionee, like “Heyyy Hidaka-san let’s go out for a mealll” that’ll be weird, right.

🌞: Mm, ⚾’s mom very much so.. Before signing the contract right – I do this for minors and for adults – so their parents / guardians don’t worry. And contracts – you don’t really know what’s in it when it’s just presented in front of you right? So I’ll explain the contents of the contract to the person and their parents.

🌞: It’s so fascinating though, MAZZEL, when you separate the EAST and WEST members. You have six members for WEST right? Normally, the east side will be more prominent. If it’s a company based in Osaka that’s different, but since we’re based in Tokyo there were actually a lot of people auditioning from outside of Tokyo for both [THE FIRST / MISSIONx2] auditions. I guess that’s a bias we have 🤣
🐥to 🐹: Our houses are pretty close too.
🌞: Have you two had a chance to meet in your hometown?
🐥: I feel like we must’ve met prior to becoming MAZZEL, because where we’d play would’ve been the same.
🌞: I’m sure! Do you guys remember ever seeing each other?

🐥: But when the members [for MAZZEL] were decided everyone from Hyougo had a meal together. We lived that close to each other.
🌞: In BE:FIRST there’s 3 members from Aichi, and in THE FIRST when there was 15 of them, there were 4

🌞: Yes. And we have ⚾ who is from Aichi too
⚾: I’m the 5th [member from Aichi]?

🌞: I was thinking how to split everyone,,. BMSG EAST, BMSG WEST, BMSG Nagoya 🤣
🌞: But it’s fate, you get to meet someone through auditions and everyone living together in this one place.
🌞: You only did your debut showcase in Tokyo, you’d want to do one in the Kansai region, right?

🐥: I think there are 3 in MAZZEL? Me.. ☕was a trainee in Korea for a while so he can speak it.. And 🦄 speaks Korean quite a lot.
🌞: Why can he speak it?
🐥: I think he’s been learning it
🌞: 🦄’s seriousness is amazing you know. Normally, you think someone young who can do something as they’re told and do it properly is serious but 🦄’s seriousness includes deeply contemplating it and thinking about it. I have moments like that when I talk to him, it’s pretty wild. I think the most interesting time was when we were at 🐥’s and I was thinking “Well, we’ll focus on 🐥since we’re at his place”...
🐹: Ehhh, I wanna know?

🌞: 🐥, ⚾, 🦄were talking about something
⚾: Ah, yes [I remember].
🌞: I think the conversation was like, “Whether as rookies or artists that will work hard from now on, we should hold ourselves to a high standard” and everyone was agreeing, and like “yes, we should work hard!” and 🐥 said “I’m cleaning up after myself properly and doing chores too!”, then 🦄turned his head, very slowly, saying “No you don’t”

🌞: It was so funny! Because the conversation and mood was getting good, you were all like, “yes, our debut is close, we should work hard!” and all, 🐥’s going “Yeah, I can live alone and take care of myself! I’m becoming self-sufficient!✨” and then 🤣🤣🤣 🦄 said that 🤣🤣🤣It was a good ending.

🌞: MAZZEL’s backstage conversations are really interesting. How do I put it, your bond (as a group) isn’t like everyone coming together, during the good or bad times – they come from all angles. It’s really interesting whenever I watch you guys. For instance your MC during the debut convention? Was really funny.

🌞: I was talking with the officials that had attended and they all were saying, “The performance was good of course, but the MC was really interesting / funny!”
🐥: We were making it perfect at rehearsals
🌞: You were. I was sent your rehearsal footage and – usually people’d just roughly go over their MC, but you guys practiced the whole thing.

🌞: And you were trying to hype up the staff already there

🌞: You haven’t done a tour yet, just the [debut] showcase and the upcoming fan meeting, but is there anything you want to try at lives?

🐹: That was definitely not me 😂
🌞: Then I think it picked up speed from there and the room ended up being full of sticky notes
🐹: I think what’s left was electronics and lights right?
