Summary of BE:FIRST MILLION BILLION #46, August 12th, 2023
Note: The month of August, 2023 CHALLENGER was LEO with Imaichi Ryuji from Sandaime J-SOUL Brothers.
Intro
🐢: I wanna move to Nagoya now
🐉: You sure? All the friends back in my hometown are my age 😅
🐢: 🐉’s friends are my friends?
🐉: Oh, like that?
🐢: It’s like that with 🧨 and 🐨, everyone is my friend
🐉: O-Okay 😂
🐢: Everyone’s hometown is my hometown
Behind the scenes talk of 🐉recording “ADULT”
Vibe during recording was very different from BE:FIRST’s
Recording studio was at Tsutaya
Avu-chan brought herbal tea for 🐉 and herself
Avu-chan wrote the lyrics in two days
The “wahhh” in the song is 🐉’s 🤣
LEO’s challenger corner
Ryuji’s roots from RnB came from listening and singing to GLAY and EXILE and then eventually branching out to other music
The first song Ryuji wrote was “PRIDE” then “All Love” from his solo work
🦁: Did you write them in your room?
Ryuji: It was in the beginning. I’d decide on a date and time, then write it out. I write more while I travel or commute now, so that it reads more like a movie. I’ll sometimes watch a movie and write lyrics too.
🦁: That’s so cool, I haven’t tried that
Ryuji: We all have our favourite movies right, it could be the cast, the setting of the movie, or the music.
Ryuji talked a bit about “Hanabi” as 3rd gen J-SOUL Brothers’s rep. song because at the time of release EDM wasn’t a big thing to do in Japan yet (and the song didn’t sell well). He says the MV for the song was the first one to be filmed overseas
BE:the ONE
🐢: 4DX is wild right?
🐉: Where will they use the water?
🐢: We should go watch it to see
🐉: And when will the seats shake? During “kanjite” [Shining One]?
🐉’s very curious when the water comes
🐢: I heard the wind is pretty strong
🐉: But when does the wind come?!
Hope you enjoyed!
