BE:FIRST's members from Nagoya - SHUNTO, RYUHEI, RYOKI - have their own radio show, BE:TALK on CBC Radio since 2021.
Starting from Ryoki's birthday and for the program in 2022, each time it was a member's birthday the boys take the time to compliment each other. They have said some wholesome things, so enjoy the translation below when it was Ryuhei's turn! :)
Compliments for RyuRyu on his bday!
Topic 1: Voice
Shun: We all get it don’t we?
Ryo: We don’t have to say it. So let’s move on to the next one
Ryu: Eh, wait wait, I already decided I won’t talk
All: LOLOLOL
Ryoki: OK OK, how old are you turning again?
Ryu: 16
Ryoki: I think Ryuhei has a voice that has depth, it’s very distinct
Shunto: Your lower register has depth, but when you use falsetto there’s this sensitivity too. I think that expands your repertoire of what you can do depending on the song
Ryoki: Like “Move On” right, during the pre-chorus? [I’m totally going for broke], I really like that part
Ryu: I rarely sing the chorus, in a good way. In BGB too, [I sing] B-melo. I don’t sing the chorus all that much.
Topic 2: Dance
Shunto: You can tell when you watch right?
Ryoki: Yeah. Making use of his long arms and legs. OK, shall we move on?
ALL: LOLOL
Shunto: It’s pretty. No matter the genre, you show off the delicate, minute parts well, and your stature is good.
Ryoki: Ryuhei had a time where you were growing so much you were using the mirror more right, I think that’s really helped you in terms of how you stand and position yourself. You’re good at finding positions that make you look graceful.
Topic 3: When practicing
Shunto: When we get a new song, you don’t go straight for practicing but you give yourself time to think about the song.
Ryoki: I agree. I think it’s got nothing to do with age, it’s more he uses his time to work hard on what’s necessary. We have limited time right, so we gotta put in the right amount of time and effort into something and make it work right. I think Ryuhei understands that and I see that when we practice.
