During the 4th round, ❤️🔥 only saw the girls remotely or when they performed so the broadcast and vlogs is the first time she sees the girls behind the scenes, what they thought, and when they’re “off”. She realized, “Oh so this is what happened,” and, “Oh so she was thinking this so that’s why she performed that way” and that’s why mina saw what she did during their performances.
🌞: No matter how skilled you are, it all comes out when you perform right? Your everything.
❤️🔥: It does. Your personality, the side of yourself in private.
🌞: I don’t think you ever get used to it
Mina watched the YT ver in real time but she wanted to stop watching

Mina tried not to look at just their performances. She thought about what they were good and about what to say so it doesn’t give the contestants more stress

Boss thinks if the tone [of the project] isn’t set from the start, and how everyone’s attitude should be, a lot of suffering comes afterwards.
Mina thinks all the girls have it in them to be great artists. But she thinks no matter what she said, it’s going to sound mean [to viewers], so she doesn’t really know what to say [in response].

For boss, whether they’ve made music or not before, it’s their first time listening [to music they made]. So they become aware of sounds in the track they were unaware of before; the freedom of the melody in x, y, z part; what do they want to convey.. Maybe we’re similar in the time it takes [for the contestants] to really dig deep into themselves, but you like music even more, and it changes how you listen to music too. Whether singing, dance, or rap… compared to someone who just remembers a choreo, you’re trying to “catch” this note here in your dance move or trying to catch this note when you sing this line… I think I was / am like that, so I think I saw a different approach to that, from mina’s creativity round.. You’re trying to [get the girls] to make something.

Mina often gets asked, “Why don’t you just give it to them straight?” or “[Just tell them] they suck”. Mina says because of her “character”, how she portrays herself outwardly, maybe people think that’s what she’s like.
❤️🔥: People often think that. It’s nothing really, I’m used to it.. But I want people with those kind of expectations to know that I don’t do that and how dangerous saying things like that is. For example, they worked really hard to sing but I tell them, “You’re no good. You suck, go home”. For a contestant to receive that stress and attack, it may mean their vocal chords will shake whenever they try to sing in the future.
